We have been designing and building freeze dry solutions for clients world-wide since 1963. We are recognised as the global experts in this field, with a rich history of engineering innovation.
Cuddon Freeze Dry are at the forefront of innovation across multiple industries and six continents, enabling our own clients, in turn, to be at the fore front of their industry.
Cuddon Freeze Dry is a division of Cuddon Limited, which began as a small family engineering operation in Blenheim, New Zealand. While the company has grown in size and ambition since incorporation in 1938, eighty years on it still retains family ownership, and the same commitment to excellence and client service. Cuddon Freeze Dry was established in 1963 and, 60 years later, continues to lead from the front.
Our four product ranges, and custom-built freeze dryers, are all designed, fabricated and tested from our purpose-built facilities in New Zealand.
Together, our highly skilled work force includes technical designers, steelworkers, water engineers, refrigeration engineers and fitters, and the freeze dry team who optimise the performance of each freeze dryer and provide service support.
Our commitment to the manufacturing process takes in the whole manufacturing lifecycle from design, build, delivery, installation, commission to training, warranty and after sales service & support providing a complete solution.
While other companies were outsourcing their manufacturing off-shore, Cuddon Freeze Dry took the decision to continue to design and manufacture its freeze dryers from its New Zealand-base. This decision has led to valuing excellence in its local work force to retaining quality throughout the design and build life cycle, and backing invention.
Manufacturing in New Zealand has also ensured commercial resilience and enabled Cuddon Freeze Dry to continue to manufacture and deliver throughout recent global events including COVID 19; the only freeze dry manufacturer to do so.
